ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate/Strenuous
DURATION: 3 hours
SAN CRISTOBAL KAYAK ADVENTURE TOUR MAP:

ITINERARY DETAILS:
Once all passengers have gathered at the established meeting point, the tour assistant in charge will give the briefing, along with park rules and recommendations.
Exploring the coast of San Cristóbal by kayak is an extraordinary and exciting way to connect with nature. On this tour, we will observe different resting areas for seabirds such as blue-footed boobies, pelicans, frigatebirds, and lava gulls, as well as friendly sea lions that often accompany us along the way.
After paddling for about 35 minutes, we will arrive at Darwin Bay. We will snorkel from the kayaks to observe many fish, sea turtles, starfish, sea urchins, and more. The snorkeling time is approximately forty-five minutes.
We then return to port in our kayaks.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- All snorkeling will be done in open water. You will enter and exit the water straight from the kayaks, not from land.
- Everything will get splashed/wet. Please do not bring anything that is not waterproof!
- Please advise the tour operator in advance of your kayaking, swimming and snorkeling experience, and if you have any physical limitations. This is not a “beginner” activity.
- The tour operator will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur and you will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to your tour.
- The wildlife, especially sea lions, are not afraid of humans. They will likely get very close to you in the water and may even try to jump on the kayaks. Please do not touch them!
