SURF LESSONS IN GALAPAGOS:
Learn to surf with the sea lions in San Cristóbal, Galápagos! We’ll show you the basics and have you standing on a board in no time.
All classes are private and take place on the beautiful sandy beach of Puerto Chino, which is 24 km from the town. It takes 30 minutes by car and 15 minutes walking to get to the beach. Classes are two hours long.
Surf classes are personalized with a maximum of 2 people per surf instructor. We will teach you how to position yourself on the board and how to stand on it, how to catch your own waves and read the ocean conditions, as well as practice different movements on your board while learning surfing rules and accident prevention while you are in the water.
Once you have taken a lesson at Puerto Chino, subsequent lessons may take place at Playa Carola or Tongo Reef if conditions are suitable.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- The tour operator will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur and you will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to your lessons.
- There are no restrooms at these beaches.
- Make sure you have eaten sufficiently and are well hydrated prior to the start of the lesson.
